What is Pachinko?

Pachinko is one of the common forms of entertainment in Japan along with movies and video games. Pachinko enjoys great popularity across the nation. The population of pachinko players in Japan is said to exceed 10 million. We of the Taira Best Beat Company, owners of The Wonderland Pachinko Parlor, have created an original short story for visitors from other countries to aid their understanding of the popularity of Japanese pachinko. The characters appearing in the story are The Wonderland's original characters, “Wonder Agents”.

Pachinko

Turning the handle near your hand launches small metal balls from the bottom of the pachinko board up to the top of the board where a number of pegs are arrayed behind a glass panel. If the balls land in a winning pocket, you win more balls. You can exchange the balls for prizes based on the number of balls remaining.
